2009 DVA celebrates its 20th anniversary

2007 DVA develops an electro-mechanical flexible hemming system

2006 DV Automation moves to new headquarters in Halesowen, West Midlands. 

2005 DV Automation becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Thompson Friction Welding Ltd. 

2004 DVA wins largest-ever single contract for Fiat 199 Punto project. 

2003 DVA becomes preferred hemming supplier to BMW and Fiat. 

2000 DVA wins first contracts with Fiat for the Ducato and Ford for its Amazon project in Brazil. 

1999 Robot hemming introduced

1998 IWKA Group become majority shareholders.DVA achieves ISO 9001 certification. 

1997 Peripheral vertical approach hem model is launched. 

1996 Integrated peripheral and aperture hem model is added. 

1995 New electric aperture hem model is unveiled. 

1994 Customer base expands in Europe and North America. 

1993 DVA supplies hemming machines to Opel and Ford. The Ford production line wins the Henry Ford Technology award. 

1991 Development of electro-mechanical hemmer. 

1989 DVA is established by M. Dorsett and J. Vernham to provide engineering for hemming systems and welding lines to the automotive manufacturing industry.
